The Senior - Issue #4

March 2020

A quite gentlemanly affair as we wander from the Connaught to clubland, taking in cigar smoke, the scent of Mark Birley, the air of the false Spring and contemplate golf and fine classical Claret along the way.

The Connaught, London

Leoville Las Cases 2.jpg

I appears I could write about Bordeaux forever.  Eventually however one has to press publish.  Here I've somehow ended up touching upon random horse racing knowledge, classical architecture and more besides.  Who knew that such knowledge would one day come in useful.  Chateau Poujeaux, Leoville Las-Cases - The Senior wine list continues..

Nina Campbell, decorator of the original Annabel’s, said of its creator Mark Birley that “what makes him so special is that he’s got such an incredible attention to detail. He will not be shortchanged; if something’s not right, he just won’t have it. He just will make it perfection.”
