Chester replied with boyish enthusiasm that he would like a sausage and egg muffin. Whilst I didn’t necessarily request his assistance in the kitchen he gave it most excitedly; personally inspecting each and every ingredient as it was prepared at great length. The joy as they say however is in the eating and so — after somewhat more effort than required — we smiled at each other as we sat down at the table to savour our handiwork.
“What’s that?” he said, wrinkling his nose so much that it resembled my face after three years of his close friendship.
“That’s the egg.” I replied cheerfully.
“I don’t like egg” He said in a despondent voice. He studied the muffin again “What’s that?” he said — pointing at the piece of sausage..
